Title of the lecture: Eentekhabat Majlis Hashtom va tagyir arayesh siyasi dar Iran (The 8th Parliamentary Elections and Political Changes in Iran)

Fatemeh Haghighatjoo is a leading proponent for human rights and democracy in Iran. A former member of Iranian parliament, Dr. Haghighatjoo resigned in 2004 following the crackdown on reformers and is now a fellow at Women and Public Policy Program at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She has been a visiting scholar at the Center for International Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, researching and writing on the impediments to democracy and human rights in Iran. She has Ph.D. in counseling and was formerly a professor at the National University of Iran.

This lecture was part of the CNES's Bilingual Lecture Series on Iran.
