Colombo Plan (CP)-Established in 1951, the CP aims at promoting economic development in Asia and the Pacific.
Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO)-An inter-governmental regional organization established in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey for the purpose of sustainable socio-economic development of the Member States.
Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)-A specialized agency of the U.N. for agriculture, forestry, fisheries and rural development.
Group of 19 (G-19)-Established in 1975, the G-19 aims at representing the interest of less developed countries (LDCs).
Intergovernmental Group of 24 (G-24)-Established in 1971, the G-24 aims at promoting the interest of developing countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America on monetary and development finance issues.
Group of 77 at the United Nations (G-77)-Estbalished in 1964, the G-77 aims at promoting cooperation among developing countries.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)-The IAEA promotes the peaceful use of nuclear energy. It is a U.N. specialized agency.
International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD)-Also known as The World Bank Group.
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)-U.N. specialized agency that promotes international cooperation in civil aviation.
International Criminal Court (ICC)-Established in 1988, the ICC is a permanent, treaty based, international criminal court. Iran is a signatory to the ICC.
International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (ICRM)-The ICRM is the world's largest humanitarian network.
International Development Association (IDA)-A member of the World Bank Group.
Islamic Development Bank (IDB)-A multilateral development financing institution, established to foster social and economic development of it's member countries and Muslim communities world-wide.
International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)-A specialized agency of the United Nations.
International Finance Corporation (IFC)-A member of the World Bank Group.
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRCS)-Provides relief to victims of disasters and promotes disaster preparedness. Also aims at improving health services in the community.
International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO)-Intergovernmental organization that supports the safety in navigation and the protection of the marine environment.
International Labour Organisation (ILO)-A UN specialized agency which seeks the promotion of social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights.
International Monetary Fund (IMF)-A member of the World Bank Group.
International Maritime Organisation (IMO)-U.N specialized agency promotes maritime safety.
International Maritime Satellite Organisation (Inmarsat)-Mobile satellite communications operator.
International Telecommunications Satellite Organisation (Intelsat)-Provides the satellite capacity necessary to offer global connectivity and access to international public telephone services.
International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol)-Provides a wide range of services for the global law enforcement community to combat crime.
Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC)-Promotes marine scientific investigations and related ocean services, with a view to learning more about the nature and resources of the oceans.
International Organisation for Migration (IOM observer)-Responsible for the migration and integration of refugees and migrants to new homes.
International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO)-ISO's principal activity is the development of technical standards.
International Telecommunications Union (ITU)-Coordinates global telecom networks and services.
International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC)-An international trade union.
Non Aligned Movement (NAM)-NAM is comprised of 116 developing nations.
Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC)-An inter-governmental organization grouping 56 States aiming at Muslim solidarity.
Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)-Established in 1997, the OPCW is an agency of the U.N.
Organisation for Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)-Founded in 1960, OPEC aims at coordinating cude production output in order to stabilize the oil market. Members are Algeria, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.
Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA)-Also known as the Hague Tribunal. It handels disputes involving various combinations of states, private parties and intergovernmental organizations.
Shanghai Cooperation Organisation-Iran was admitted as a member of SECTSCO in April of 2006.
United Nations (UN)-Established in 1945, the U.N. is an an international association of independent states that promotes peace, human rights, economic development, public health and cultural exchanges.
United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)-Established in 1964, the UNCTAD promotes international trade.

World Customs Organization (WCO)-An independent inter-governmental body whose mission is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of customs administration.
World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU)-Established in 1945, the WFTU promotes the trade union movement.
World Health Organisation (WHO)-WHO is a U.N. specialized agency for health.
World Meteorological Organisation (WMO)-U.N. specialized agency.
World Trade Organization (WTO)-has been granted "observor" status in the WTO.
World Tourism Organization (WTO)-U.N. specialized agency.
